TOOTH GORE - SINGLE REVIEW

Tooth Gore - Scum Of the Sea

Release Date: 15th May 2026

Another banger from Newquay's finest, Tooth Gore, as he goes all surf-gospel on us. 'Scum Of The Sea', on its surface, is an indie romp with grizzly guitars, a punk energy, and some Frank Turner spirit in there for good measure. Underneath that, however, there is a deep pride in the people that make his home town and home county a special place and that pride spills over into an almost evangelical fever with the church organ groaning away in the low end of the mix. Come the revolution, this may well become an anthem for an independent Cornwall but for now it will have to just be a sing'n'mosh-a-long track to close the live set with.
