Burgeoning Devon quartet Burnt Daylight continue their march towards notoriaty with new single 'Limelight' and fans of the Jeff Buckley ouvre should pay attention. Brooding but insistant guitars open the song with Thom Yorke-esque vocals mumbling with purpose with from the shadows. The break in tension is delivered by an explosive chorus which positively bristles with yearning, desperation, and a sense of salvation being temptingly just out of reach. The kind of band and song that give you hope in reminding the world that teenagers are all Snap Maps and Fortnite - some of them are all unrequited love, anguish, and gnarly guitar solos.
