I feel like this song is for a very niche audience (e.g. those that remember that Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich were a 60s rock band and like twee pop songs) so I'll start with my own niche story in that during one of my frequent hospital stays I once shared a ward with a man who used to be the band's roadie - the hilarity of him trying to explain this to the Vietnamese nurse was a highlight. Anyway, I digress, Tom Ashforth has written 'Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich' as a kind of ode to the band but through a Mighty Boosh-esque lens that makes this less historically accurate but definitely entertaining and its heavy on the horns which is always a winner in my book.
