I loves me a bit of word play so Pet Needs' new single 'Tour Worn' is both timely and wryly amusing. Urgent guitars, breathless vocals and a punk aesthetic all mingle with a sense of imposter syndrome that comes from the self doubt that creeps in during the creation of any art. There are elements of Crazy Arms' anger, Samantics' confessional lyricism and the Automatic's sheer energy in here which all make this eminently enjoyable. Throw in a video that connects Scrabble tiles with a muddy country walk and you've got the kind of release that will garner a hardcore following.
