With the new album fast approaching and a show at the soon-to-be-closed-down Leadmill under their belts, Dinosaur Pile-Ups Lazarus story is nearly complete but let's have one more single for the journey, shall we? 'Sick Of Being Down' is a heavy riffing, slacker anthem that takes a swipe at self pity and, musically, throws open the curtains of depression and slaps itself around the face. I've covered the backstory of the band's hiatus in another review (do the background reading people) but this really feels like the moment that years of ill-health (mental and physical) are thrown off and the rock Gods that the Leeds trio always were emerge from behind rock and shout "we're not dead motherfuckers, we're just dead cool".
