Who, in their right mind, could resist the prospect of a band called Meatraffle (for non-UK readers, a Meatraffle is distinctly British activity of auctioning off large quantities of meat in a pub). This Meatraffle, however, is a South London collective of gents who bring their new single 'Smallest Gang' to the market for sale. A pulsating bass line, woozy synths and thumping drums are joined by deadpan vocals with a touch of the Ian Dury style to them. All in all, it's a moody, suburban track with a grey day energy but I love it for that because it's honest and relatable.
