A late entry for the band name of the year now with Beaux Gris Gris & the Apocalypse and their equally flamboyant song title, 'Watching the World Fall Down'. There's a healthy and hearty chug to this that suggests a band with low slung guitars which works perfectly with the strident and confident vocal of Beaux Gris Gris. There are elements of Felix Hagan & the Family mixed with Mika and Rews as this track takes all the best elements of pop, rock and indie sprinkled with a handful of theatrical stardust to make something that is just a little bit magic. There's also a strong shout for video of the year with the clever mix of media used to create an enthralling visual. Bravo all around.
