THE VELVET HANDS - SINGLE REVIEW

The Velvet Hands - I Wanna Be There

Release Date: Out Now

So this is the 5000th review I have put up on this hear blog and it seemed fitting that I mark the occasion by covering one of the most exciting bands currently tearing it up in the UK who also happen to be from Cornwall. The Velvet Hands are a rare commidty these days in that they are a band made up of a gang of mates and their new single, 'I Wanna Be There', is a punchy, perky and thoroughly enjoyable indie romp that will sweep up all who hear it. The drums are tight, the bass rolls and the guitars chop with the urgency and impatience of youth leaving the vocals to add more gravitas than the band's years should allow. If you're looking for a new band to fall in love with then look no further than the Velvet Hands - they might not return your calls all the time but on those rare occasions that they do you'll be in for one hell of a treat.
