THE HUNNA - SINGLE REVIEW

The Hunna - Fugazi/Untouched Hearts

Release Date: Out Now

It's bold to name a song after a legendary band but power trio the Hunna have gone and done just that with one half of their double header single. 'Fugazi' opens with a throbbing bass line, searing guitars and the shotgun drums before settling in to a grunge-pop melody that feels like a cross between Sick Joy and Dinosaur Pile-Up but with a more US friendly edge that feels like it might just make the difference. The other half of this release, 'Untouched Hearts', is a far more subdued affair with Cobain-esque guitar playing matched with some inredibly polished vocals and a latter-day Biffy Clyro vibe just ready for stadiums. I never say this without meaning it but on the basis of these two tracks alone you have to bet on the Hunna to be ready for bigger stages. I'm backing them, are you?
