Cornish gang Blue River have
really made the best of the nightmare that has been 2020 and, even without many
gigs to play, they have raised merry hell with a string of excellent singles.
Their parting shot for the year is new track ‘Kiss Kiss’ which opens with a
menacing, descending riff and echoes of 90s Manchester ringing out before the
spirit of Led Zeppelin rises up inside and bursts out like a volcanic eruption.
The drums pound out, the guitars snarl and if you’re not aroused by this kind
of rock’n’roll then you’ve been in lockdown too long so get yourself out to an
open space and do some primal screaming. Oh, and watch out for Blue River in 2021,
I have a feeling things could go off for them and you won’t want to miss that.
