Exeter trio Soot Sprite have come up with the kind of song title that sums up a generation for new single 'All My Friends Are Depressed' and who can blame them? With a low slung and low energy verse melody that pulls hard on the grunge influences the band unleash lines that hit a little too close to home like "All my friends are getting sick, weighted down with politics, something in reality doesn't quite click". The chorus has a more hopeful and mindful message as well as a shift in energy that feels like the kind of big, deep breath you take before puffing out your cheeks and putting the kettle on.
