Regular readers will know I love music with a bit of edge or danger but never let it be said that I don't appreciate a great melody when it jumps up and slaps me in the face. Huddersfield collective Fishing 4 Compliments might sound like an early 2000s dating site but their ability to craft a song is in no doubt on new single 'Hard To Please' which emerges from background with a perky acoustic riff and summery vibes. Sugary sweet vocals chime out like a dinner bell and the composition takes influence from the likes of KT Tunstall, the Levellers and Fairground Attraction.
