There is something hugely
infectious about this new single from Norwegian alt-popper Skia and I really
hope you fall for it in the same way I have. ‘IDWTAI’ (I Don’t Wanna Talk About
It) uses a vocal delivery based on the stabbing rhythm of a sewing machine to
stitch together bubbling synth melodies and a simple but perky beat. This is
the closest anyone has come to matching my love for the sheer uniqueness of
Malka and the youthful energy blended with the Scandinavian quirk makes this
utterly adorable if I can say that without sounding patronising.
