There's just room for one more tune from Louis Dunford in 2024 and he's sending us into Christmas with his latest single, 'Superman'. The opening strings are somewhere between the Verve and the Ministry of Sound Orchestra and the hairs on your neck should be well and truly up by the time the vocals kick in. This is uplifting, stirring indie-rock'n'roll with heart and a gospel vocal break that brings together elements of Britpop, Madchester and the rave scene to create a song that really ought to be given out on prescription via the NHS. There's a debut album coming out in 2025 and I have sneaking suspicion it's going to be an absolute banger.
