Julianna and Josephine Hopkins are the Anglo-French sisters who have dubbed themselves the Gucci Beavis and Butthead. Dear reader, I am already sold. Disgusting Sisters is the name they have chosen for themselves and this is their debut single, 'Killing It'. With a brilliantly lo-fi but hi-commitment video filmed in a scrap yard, this track starts with a sultry bass line and finger click before the dead-eyed indie-pop vocals join in and we're away. Imagine if the Long Blondes and Shampoo had shared a house in the rough part of Paris for a gap year with Lily Allen and Kate Nash playing on a loop in their rat infested kitchen and you're getting close to this one. This is fierce, this is confident, this is brilliant. This is Disgusting Sisters and I think we'll be hearing a lot more from them.
