There's a surprisingly laid back vibe to this new release from the excellent Tlya X An as 'Camel's Back' creates a sound that is both lo-fi and incredibly polished. A simple, Gorillaz-esque beat is matched with dreamy, light-as-feather vocals and the kind of melodies that float and flit like digital butterflies in a neon glade. The track takes an unexpected and dark twist towards the end as night falls but the beat is constant despite the change in vocal tone to something altogether more malevolence.
