'One Eye Open' shows a real point of growth and change for Mimi Webb as her sound is developing into something more mature but, sadly, that comes at the expense of a broken heart. Big 80s melodies mixed with fresh, crisp vocals and an intriguing flurry of beats makes this a thoroughly engaging listen of the all-out-but-classy-pop genre. Put this alongside Madison Beer, Katy Perry or Becky Hill and you wouldn't notice a note or beat out of place - she really is that good.
