BAILEY TOMKINSON & THE LOCALS - SINGLE REVIEW

Bailey Tomkinson & The Locals - Chrysalis

Release Date: 20th September 2024

'Chyrsalis', the latest single from Cornish collective Bailey Tomkinson and the Locals, has a real end of summer romance feeling to it. Tomkinson's dusky, 70s tinged vocal gets us going before the acoustic strum joins in and the power kicks up a notch or two. This is the kind of song that makes you want to pack what you can into a battered leather suitcase, throw it in the back seat of a convertible car and head off down the LA coastal road in search of new adventures. If you like your music with rich layers, warmth and influences from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, First Aid Kit and Sheryl Crow then this song will be perfect for you. A warning though, any breakdown of relationships can not be attributed to this song or the review. That's on you.
