'Blame The Young' is the kind of song title that instantly makes me want to press play and dive straight in, especially when it comes courtesy of the superb October Drift. A clear and dry vocal calls out atop some dirty but subdued guitars before an impatient beat joins in and the tension builds and builds and builds until, like the sun cresting over the horizon, this song explodes in glorious technicolour. Much like contemporaries Chappaqua Wrestling, October Drift have grown a glorious flower from the rubble of the world around us without ever denying that there is shit everywhere we look.
