Multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Colin Manson is dropping his debut single 'Where We Started' this month and if there's any justice in the world this will be the start of a musical odyssey for the Scotsman. 'Where We Started' is a wistful and slightly distracted piece that shows of Manson's intricate finger picking in a folk style before his David Kitt-esque vocals join in with subdued wisdom dripping from every word like a weary father speaking to his children. Somber strings and a punctuating thud of a beat add to the mood and the whole experience makes you want to wrap up in a blanket and watch at the window for the storm to pass. Perfect autumnal sounds and just the start of something special, no doubt.
