Howlin' Circus - Baghdad Blues

This is only the second single from Toronto's Howlin' Circus but 'Baghdad Blues' is already a seriously impressive experience for the listener. Middle Eastern swirls soon give way to garage-blues'n'roll stomping with a thumping, Ramones-esque beat and snarling wild west vocals that are looking for trouble. The guitars and general vibe remind me of the Jim Jones Revue with a little White Stripes, Hives and Jet mixed in for good measure but whichever way you slice it, this is good driving music so maybe it's time to high-tail it out of dodge.
