As songs about sexual awakenings go, 'Almost There' by Cassadee Pope is incredibly open and cathartic which is impressive for an alt-pop song. "Who says love was meant to be so innocent?" sings Pope before the demure verse explodes in to a rocking chorus that unleashes her honest side with all of the energy of someone who has had enough of pretending. This is the kind of song that you can really imagine cutting loose to and that sense of release is key to what makes this such a fun listen.
