Brooklyn's superb Dakota Jones maintain there assault on 2023 with latest single 'Scared'. The breathless stream of consciousness vocals are subdued and soulful with a trip-hop vibe but the pulsating rhythms and cool melodies give this a more 90s club vibe. As the song persists with a subtle intensity it's hard not to get wrapped up in the Massive Attack vs De La Soul mash up which is perfect for a night time drive or staring moodily out across a midnight cityscape after a difficult break-up.
