After the tragic loss of Taylor Hawkins, each every member of the Foo Fighters had to process their grief their own way and guitarist Chris Shiflett decided to write his way out of the dumps he was down in. 'Dead And Gone' is not quite as 'on the nose' as the title might suggest and actually deals with a fondness for Shiflett's home town with a swaggering country guitar and line-dancing beat. "Just another old friend that's left this life too young" with a pleasing country twang in his voice and a healthy approach to moving on with life while he still has time to live it. Now, strap on your boots and give me a yee-ha!
