I've really been enjoying the singles coming out from Sophie Ellis-Bexter ahead of her new album and this latest one maintains that pattern. The laid back vibes of 'Lost in the Sunshine' transport you immediately to a London park where Sophie and her pals are lazing glamorously under a tree like a Cath Kidston advert with bubbles in glasses and not a hair out of place. "Scent of jasmine, taste of blue" she sings with her trademark poise while the faint disco guitars and wash of melodies keep the warmth and sunshine flowing throughout. Bring on the summer, I say!
