NATI DREDDD - SINGLE REVIEW

Nati Dreddd - Older

Release Date: Out Now

I quite like the idea of Nati Dreddd turning up to give her name for things and saying "yeah, that's Dreddd with four Ds" just to see the look on the faces of jobsworths all across the land. Anyway, on to the music, Dreddd's new single 'Older' is a defiant and powerful alt-pop stomper that somehow falls down between KT Kunstall and the View with a recognisable Scottish accent and the kind of melodies that just get under your skin and lift you up. The guitars chug, the drums pound and Dreddd's vocal is so wonderfully pure, honest and full of hope that it genuinely brought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat. This is the kind of song that makes you want to get up and do something with your life and we all need songs like that in our lives from time to time, don't we?
