CLICHE CULT - SINGLE REVIEW

Cliche Cult - Veronica (Blaggers Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Leeds quartet Cliche Cult are new to my ears but I instantly fell in love with their new single so we're off to a strong start. 'Veronica' is full of indie charm in a way that only British bands can muster as they mix influences from the likes of Maximo Park, Kaiser Chiefs, the Zutons and the Kooks in to a track that swoons and croons as much as it swaggers and swings. This has a particular summery energy that will work well with the festival scene this year but there is also a timeless quality to this song that hints at the quality of songwriting that these guys possess.
