There is so much to love about this new release from London duo the Pearl Harts. 'Hypocritical' starts with breathy, moody vocals in isolation before the electro-punk guitars, whip-crack drums and Ting Tings-esque vocals take over. Then there's the sheer range of guitar sounds wrung out of one six string, the way the drums drop in and out like a boxer knowing when to land a punch and when to defend. Finally, there's the video which is simple but effective and full of the kind determined spirit you want from your rock'n'roll stars which makes this the full package.
