Irish trio the Fae offer up new single 'Chloe' as their debut single but it sounds far too accomplished and brilliant to be a first attempt. The three part harmonies are sweet and deceptively soft but the guitars shudder and the drums have a raw quality that hits you right between the eyes so we have a healthy dose of juxtaposition here. The sound of early Nirvana, the melodies of Lush and Sleater Kinney in the middle orchestrating proceedings. A triumphant first outing and here's hoping there's a lot more to come.
