The dedication of Common Goldfish to creatively plunder the best bits of the 90s is admirable but the result of that plundering is exceptional. 'Low Lights and Throwback Tunes' melds a trip-hop beat with Madchester guitars and a rave inspired piano riff which might sounds chaotic but will have you reaching for your white gloves and baggy jeans. Those baggy jeans and baggy guitars are sublime but when you combine it with that beat, well, it's a musical time machine and I mean that in the best way possible.
