Welsh solo artist Bethan Lloyd has a brilliantly unique and fresh sound on new single 'No Umbilical' and I'm always relieved to hear something a bit different pop up in my inbox. 'No Umbilical' has a nod to the mechanical electro sounds of Kraftwerk but with vocals delivered in the style of musical theatre with a Welsh accent and high intensity. Throw in the stomp'n'pomp of Florence + the Machine and turn up the classical influence a little, and you've found yourself in the church of Bethan Lloyd while she is in full flow to her flock.
