Tissa Rahim - Done, Done, Done

Tissa Rahim is described in her press blurb as 'Vancouver's Persian Powerhouse' which makes it sound like every major city has Persian powerhouse and seriously doubt that but I'm glad that Vancouver has one at least. 'Done, Done, Done' is a fittingly emphatic break up song that opens with mellow guitars and mournful strings giving Rahim space to ease her vocal in to the song smoothly. By the time the chorus kicks in with a beat and a more uptempo guitar riff we are getting into Amy Winehouse territory but with a more North American jazz sound wrapped around the stunning vocals. Powerhouse? And then some.
