THE CORAL SEA - SINGLE REVIEW

The Coral Sea - Love Is No Sacrifice

Release Date: Out Now

When this tune started playing over the top of a gently ebbing and flowing tide, I thought it was a slowed down version of Radiohead's 'Creep' but as it reveals itself to the listener, 'Love Is No Sacrifice' has so much to offer as an original piece in its own right. Coming out of LA, the Coral Sea blend atmospheric indie melodies that lean towards the cinematic with the kind of vocal performance that suggests a woman full of emotion and passion channeled fully in to her delivery. This is an incredibly moving and bleak performance but, somehow, it cuts right to the quick of what love (proper love, not romantic love) is actually about and that is a rare thing to be cherished by us all.
