Grimsby's Indigo Bay are back with another excellent single in the shape of 'Papercuts' but this one is a little more subdued than their last offering. Mellow, almost disorientated melodies are stitched together with a razor sharp guitar and punchy but understated drums to create the kind of song you could just drift away to. Vocally, this has a real mainstream radio alt-pop vibe and would stand up next to most of the solo make airwave cloggers but the thing I love about Indigo Bay is that they are a gang of mates making music together, their way and without any major label interference. It gives me hope.
