Cardiff based trio Terrapins have just dropped their debut single and it’s the kind of tune that makes you sit up and pay attention. ‘Brainz’ gets going at a furious pace with the drums leading the way and crunching guitars adding some tension before the melody takes hold. The vocals hold their nerve without descending in to screaming whilst retaining their power and menace and those drums just don’t quit (at one point, I started to feel sorry for whoever lives next to their rehearsal space). If you’re a fan of Berries but like your music with a little more aggression then Terrapins might just be the band for you. Definitely ones to watch.
