If you're looking for something big, bold, ballsy and angry then either go and pick a fight with bouncer at a nightclub or give this track a listen. Punishment Essay are a trio split between Portsmouth and Manchester which means they probably rehearse around Coventry but whatever the logistical arrangements they have birthed the absolutely storming single that is 'Nation Of Pigs'. "Ignorance is not bliss" goes the opening vox pop atop a the kind of bassline that could be used to demolish empty tower blocks. When the drums, guitars and sneering vocals join in then you know you have to make a choice - are you along for the ride or standing in the way of this juggernaut? Think Royal Blood's noise mixed with the attitude of the Yo-Yos and Never Not Nothing and the razor sharp anger of NARCS and you're pretty much there. Brilliant stuff and perfect for the times we live in.
