Indie-punk quartet Femegades hit hard from the get-go on new single 'Big Plans' so consider yourself warned. Punchy drums, buzzsaw guitars and a poppy bass line all underpin the vocals that are somewhere between Debbie Harry, PJ Harvey and Chrissie Hynde but all of them are pissed off. The beat is relentless, the guitars grind at you like a rusty chainsaw but those vocals stitch it all together with a velvety soulfulness that works brilliantly to juxtapose the rawness of the music.
