Bristol's Emily Breeze comes back in to town on her shiny black steed to drop off her new single 'Ordinary Life' at the bank of songs and it is quite the doozy. There's a sad and resigned but also hopeful energy to this one that channels the likes of Pulp and early U2 to create a vibe that feels like hitting rock bottom but waking up the next morning to a glorious sunrise and finding a fiver in your coat pocket. Breeze's spoken word delivery of the verse tells the story of dreams that won't fade while the chorus is pure indie-pop sing-a-long gold which makes this a brilliantly emotive song for driving, walking or just lifting your spirits to the point where you don't give up on those dreams.
