Oxfordshire trio Dogmilk describe themselves as jangle-punk and I'm all ears for a new genre, even if the song only comes in at just over two minutes in length. 'Parrot' opens with a satisfying bass rumble before the drums come clattering in and the track switches between impish playfulness and a full-on assault on the senses. There are elements of Incubus, Young Knives and, well, just sheer genius all mixed in there for your listening pleasure. They say the secret to showbusiness is to always leave your audience wanting more and if that's true then Dogmilk have absolutely nailed it on this latest release. I want more...much more.
