New Zealanders the Beths have come out with one of my favourite videos of 2022 and that comes along with yet another banging tune in the shape of new single 'Knees Deep'. In between going bungee jumping, the band build a twitchy and melody soaked indie anthem in the same vein as Maximo Park, Dutch Uncles or Charly Bliss. There's a little Tanya Donnelly to the vocals and a little sadness to the vocals but this is just further evidence that the Beths can sure write a hook and, apparently, they've been rearing earworms for years.
