Straight outta New York comes alt-pop princess Stalking Gia with her wonderfully juxtaposed new single 'Saddest Happy Girl'. Now, this might sound awful on paper but the opening of this song is a melodic take on the classic 'Oh, My Darling Clementine' but with a lyrical rebrand and a vibe that is akin to Lily Allen at her more playful. The rest of the song kicks in to a more 'contemporary' alt-pop groove like UPSAHL or K.Flay but those vocals and that repeated refrain of classic melody make this the kind of tune that really sticks out among the masses and for that we have to be thankful.
