Duo Jadu Heart make weirdly wonderful music and new single 'Cocoon' makes me want to do that chef's kiss thing. The melodies are as deliciously pure and simple as a Beatles track with with that lo-fi indie layering you might expect from early Elbow, Jim Noir or Contact Mo. There's an element of whimsy as well which gives this a Cosmo Sheldrake vibe but overall this feels like the kind of tune that was built from a strange mix of intricate sonic layering and a genuine affection for creating something special. This is a beautiful, whichever way you look at it.
