Florida's Dancing With Ghosts really grab your attention with the opening chords of new single 'The Audacity' and they do it in a way that Incubus used to do in their earlier days. The loose guitar riff and open drums are soon given a rocket boost when Stephanie Conner's vocals come roaring in all Brandon Boyd leaning back and pouring every inch of herself in to the mic. There's a desperation, fury and barely controlled anger in this but it still manages to grab hold of he melody and ride it over the horizon. Great rock music is hard to find these days but this one is a diamond in the rough.
