The soft and unassuming vocals of singer-songwriter Rat Tally draw you in during the early part of this song as you start to let 'Longshot' curl up in your lap for a gentle snooze. By the time the chorus explodes, however, there is a real shift in energy as the slacker-pop-grunge guitars crunch in to life like a mix of Lauran Hibberd and the Dandy Warhols jamming in downtown LA on a hot July afternoon. Sweet vocals, chunky guitars and the kind of vibe that makes you want to drive to the beach with a crate of beers to meet friends - I am definitely down for that.
