If someone says that an artist sounds like Prince and Rag'n'Bone Man then the very least you're going to want to do is give said artist a listen, right? Well, Bristol's Keir come with that promise and new single 'Confession' lives up to the hype with a softly soulful opening which explodes into a storming and slightly dark alt-pop track in the chorus. This is future soul with recognisable structures but undpredictable changes of direction and a real sense of purpose and passion. I'm genuinely excited about the sound of Keir as this is the first track I've heard so here's hoping there is more to come. You don't get to have Prince comparisons on the basis of one song.
