It was only a matter of time and will before Gogol Bordello raised up their arms and made their voices heard on their global platform while the wounds of Ukraine continue to weep and grow. 'Focus Coin' is the first single from the collective's new album and it opens with an itchy, scratchy, distracted energy that owes as much to punk as it does to the romani culture that the band represent. There's a raw, live and desperate energy to this song but what else do you expect from a band that has famously strong cultural connections with Ukraine? The forthcoming album, 'Solidaritine', is marked clearly with the blue and yellow of that now famous flag so get ready to rock, to support and to continue the fight.
