What do you get if you cross breed Kate Nash, Queen and Squeeze? Well, a lot legal and ethical problems to say the least but you also get something that sounds a lot like the new single from Chris Linton. The Plymouth based artist releases 'Anyway' and the combination of stabbing piano chords, simple beat and rich bass notes are instantly infectious. The lyrical and vocal double act sounds like that first album by the Feeling which is high praise from me and the melodies hook in to your subconcious immediately so Linton is on to a winner here - ironically, considering this a song that features the repeated line of "no matter what I do, I fuck up anyway".
