Not only is Tel Aviv's Kama Vardi a writer of deliciously delicate songs but she has also coupled this latest release with an utterly charming video. 'Bread & Wine' sounds like having an earnest and heartfelt break up on the banks of the River Seine with cyclists flying past without a care in the world for the thousands of tiny pieces that your heart is crumbling in to. Soft, lacy vocals lie delicately atop some melodies that are, I imagine, what Belle & Sebastian would sound like if they met at College in a suburb of Paris. Romantic, beautiful and entirely enthralling. Perfect.
