Chelsea Rose - Fallin' (Paul Is Dead Records)

Release Date: Out Now

I get sent so much music that doesn't sound original or say anything new in a voice that is unique that it can become easy to delete submissions sometimes but Chelsea Rose's new single managed to break me out of that autopilot sensation. 'Fallin'' is a brutally honest song about falling in love and falling hard set to a lazily jazz inspired piano melody and jumpy guitars that put me in mind of Feist or Reina Spektor. Rose's semi-spoken vocal delivery is dripping in LA drawl which gives this an intimate, almost confessional feel like you're reading the love letters of a relationship you're not part of - or, for a more modern audience, reading the text messages between two lovers through the crack between the seats on a train.
