The woozy and luxurious feeling to this new release from Saint Kochi is utterly delicious and just begs you to come and join it on a big velvet waterbed for the afternoon. 'Almost Lost' hangs around a loose beat and swooning, sweeping strings giving Saint Kochi a broad canvas on which to paint with a stabbing vocal to punctuate the landscape. There are elements of Lennon's Beatles work, Lemon Jelly and the Flaming Lips all present here but otherwise this is an effortlessly unique piece of songwriting that I encourage you to indulge in.
